世界500强壳牌公司高层来岳阳考察

5月20日，岳阳市委书记卿渐伟会见了来岳阳考察的壳牌中国集团执行主席海博一行。双方就岳阳市的地理、经济、资源等方面，以及壳牌的业务范围及中国战略等情况进行了友好交流，并对今后的合作方向进行了初步洽谈。巴陵石化公司党委书记李大为等参加会见。

由中国石化和壳牌公司各投资50%的岳阳中石化壳牌煤气化有限公司2001年11月组建，总投资额为13亿元。项目采用壳牌粉煤气化工艺生产合成气（氢气和一氧化碳），输送给巴陵石化公司作为生产化工、化肥等产品的原料。为了满足日益增长的生产需要，2012年7月，两家公司计划在岳阳建设第二套煤气化项目，目前该项目的前期工作正在稳步推进。

卿渐伟在会谈时向海博一行来岳考察表示热烈欢迎。谈到第二套煤气化合作项目时，他说，这个项目是壳牌和巴陵石化发展的重要组成部分，对推进岳阳发展具有重要意义。市委、市政府一定大力支持，创造优越环境，希望双方在良好的合作基础上，加快项目推进，实现共赢发展。

海博介绍壳牌公司的页岩气开发情况后，卿渐伟说，能源开发要造福老百姓，能源开发要造福老百姓，天然气等气体要进入千家万户。目前，岳阳市这方面市场开发潜力巨大，希望双方深化交流，开辟合作新领域。

当海博说到壳牌拥有世界领先的生物能源技术时，卿渐伟说，岳阳市是长江以南最主要的产棉区，棉梗很多，此外，苎麻梗、稻秸等都很多，农产品资源非常丰富，这些都可以作为生物发电的原料，因此，双方具有很好的合作基础。

海博对双方的合作前景寄予厚望，并对岳阳市委、市政府的大力支持表示感谢。
